Research Directions
Our research investigates processes of plant cell membrane transport, ion channel functions, plant responses to drought stress, special physiological behaviors of carnivorous plants, evolution of plant electrophysiology, and applications of optogenetics in plant research. We primarily use model plants and major crops such as Arabidopsis, tomato, soybean, maize, and rice, employing multidisciplinary approaches including biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and metabolomics for systematic studies.
