TRAINING OBJECTIVES

Guided by the educational philosophy of "balancing science and engineering, integrating industry and education, and fostering synergy between research and teaching", the Faculty of Synthetic Biology aligns closely with national strategic development, the practical needs of the Greater Bay Area, and students' interests and aspirations. Leveraging world-class research and technology transfer platforms, we aim to cultivate three types of high-caliber talents:

CURRICULUM SYSTEM:

  • Core Courses: General Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Labrotory Mmnnual for life sciences, Synthetic Biology Comprehensive Experiments

  • Specialized Courses: Synthetic Biology, Al and Synthetic Biology, Spatiotemporal Omics of Life, Principles of Biological Design, Artificial Cell Design, Introduction to Bio-industry, Bioreactor Engineering

  • Experimental Courses: Bio-manufacturing Innovation Experiments, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice, Bio-industry Internship

    To cultivate interdisciplinary personnel, students who complete their major courses and designated computer science courses will be granted an "Al-Synthetic Biotechnology" Certificate.
