Grounded in the biological sciences with a distinctive focus on synthetic biology, and in collaboration with iSynBio at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Faculty of Synthetic Biology leverages world-class research platforms-including the Shenzhen Synthetic Biology Infrastructure and the National Industrial Innovation Center for Bio-manufacturing-and an international talent hub. It aspires to emerge as a national hub for nurturing talent in life sciences, synthetic biology, and interdisciplinary fields, a cornerstone for preserving scientific culture, a premier center for synthetic biology research in China, and an internationally acclaimed institution. 1. The emblem's design is inspired by the Chinese character for “synthesis” (合成), integrated with the abbreviation “FSB” (Faculty of Synthetic Biology). It incorporates a book symbolizing education, a double helix representing synthetic biology, and architectural elements denoting an academic institution, reflecting the Faculty's focus on professional education in synthetic biology.
2. The text logo features a sans-serif font with upright, balanced, and clear strokes, characterized by a square, dignified structure and concise, minimalist design.
