个人简介

合成生物学与生物技术专家。深圳理工大学合成生物学院院长、讲席教授,中国科学院生物物理所研究员,中国科学院武汉病毒研究所荣誉研究员,加拿大Alberta大学荣誉科学博士,美国医学与生物工程院院士、英国皇家化学会会士。湖北大学毕业,分别在中国科学院武汉病毒研究所和中国科学院微生物研究所获硕士和博士学位。从事合成生物学、生物传感、纳米生物学和分析微生物学交叉创新研究,并用于解决细胞生物学、病毒学、肿瘤生物学的基础科学问题。发表研究论文400多篇、学术专著3本、获专利40余项。

研究方向

1. AI与机器学习的运用:肿瘤细胞分子影像分析、急性髓系白血病连续分级异质性与预后评估、新型抗菌肽预测、非小细胞肺癌细胞外囊泡生物标志物的发现等,肿瘤诊断-治疗体系设计与合成,微生物底盘细胞代谢重构。

2. 基因编码/合成生物传感器:可视化研究活细胞内分子事件,如生物分子相互作用与相变、生物膜生长、亚细胞结构对环境刺激的响应、细胞凋亡、细胞核染色质群体空间分布、肿瘤单细胞表面抗原分析等,超高灵敏度病毒检快速检测。

3. 病毒宿主互作示踪:设计构建“彩色病毒”,实现病毒-宿主细胞互作高时空分辨动态示踪,发现和阐明了病毒(HIV、新冠病毒、流感病毒、寨卡病毒等)侵染及生活史中新的机制(如HIV病毒粒子通过核膜内吞方式入核等),丰富了病毒学知识。

4. 蛋白组芯片:创建结核分枝杆菌全蛋白组芯片及蛋白质组库、基因敲除库、成为结核病研究的高通量、高内涵平台,发现一批新的免疫原,其衍生产品免疫试剂盒已广泛用于结核病防控和结核病研究。创建非洲猪瘟全蛋白组芯片,筛选免疫原,用于新型疫苗研究。

5. 纳米生物学:以病毒和细菌组件、细胞外泌体、微生物酶、干细胞等天然纳米生物材料为分子元件,设计合成多层级结构生物纳米功能器件,用于构建纳米生物传感器、体内药物递送载体、生物反应过程生化参数检测与控制系统、环境有机污染物监测等。

学术成就

宏观战略研究:

担任国家合成生物学重点专项实施方案和指南专家组组长;中国合成生物学发展路线图(2022-2030)研究组组长;中科院十五五生物技术发展战略研究专家组组长;《国家中长期科学和技术发展规划(2021—2035)》基础科学战略研究专家组副组长及交叉科学组组长(2019);亚太经合组织(APEC)首席科学顾问会议中方代表(CSAE,2013,2015-2018)。在生命科学、合成生物学、生物技术和生物制造领域承担大量国家层次战略研究任务。

学术组织任职:

目前担任:中国生物工程学会副理事长、合成生物学分会主任、生物传感/生物芯片/纳米生物技术分会创会主任、荣誉主任;亚洲生物技术协会(AFOB)顾问、纳米生物技术/生物传感/生物芯片分会共同创会长;世界生物传感学术大会(World Congress on Biosensors)常务组委会委员;中国生物技术研究中心专家委员会委员。

Biosensors & Bioelectronics、mLife、中国科学院院刊等10种期刊编委,《合成生物学丛书》(科学出版社)总主编,《中华科学技术大词典》编委会委员。
