个人简介

美国加州大学河滨分校离休教授(2022年退休),深圳理工大学合成生物学院讲席教授,深圳合成生物学创新研究院研究员、农业和植物合成生物学中心主任。国际知名植物生物学家,是植物细胞生物学里多方向的先驱者和带头者,首次发现并阐明了细胞表面生长素信号感受与传导机理、阐明生长素调控快速生长机理并解了“酸假说”50年之谜,发现ROP GTPase及其介导的信号网络和在植物生长发育及高产中起重要作用,发现了植物细胞极性生长的设计原理并系统地阐明了花粉管生长和叶表皮细胞形态发生的机制。
